What Happens When HomeCo’s 14-Day Trial Ends?
HomeCo’s 14-day trial needs no card and does not automatically become paid. Continued access depends on an eligible membership or covered home; check the current in-app options before the trial ends.
Will the trial automatically charge me?
No. HomeCo's official website says the 14-day trial requires no card and never automatically converts to paid access. Starting the trial is different from choosing a paid store subscription.
If you actively purchase a membership, its store renewal terms apply. Do not confuse the trial's non-conversion promise with a promise that a paid membership never renews. Check the purchase confirmation and subscription settings for the plan you actually choose.
Which membership choices are listed?
As reviewed on 16 October 2026, HomeCo lists Housemate for one person's access and Whole Home for invited members of one covered home. Verified university-email Student access lasts one year and has its own home-type restrictions.
The website displays Housemate at £2.99 monthly or £29.99 annually, and Whole Home at £9.99 monthly or £89.99 annually. These are the displayed GBP prices, not a guarantee of your final local charge. The App Store or Google Play confirms the local price and terms before purchase.
Choose based on who needs coverage. A Housemate membership does not sponsor everybody else. Whole Home covers one home rather than spreading access across several homes. Confirm the current eligibility and joining rules before arranging for one household member to pay.
Can every trial or Student member join the same home?
No. The current official rules distinguish home types. Trial users can create and use their trial home or join an active Whole Home-covered home; they cannot join a Housemate or Student home while on the trial. Student members can use Student homes or join an active Whole Home-covered home, but cannot create or join Housemate homes.
Check these rules before using invitations as part of a family or roommate trial. If somebody cannot join, do not assume it is a payment failure or create unnecessary additional accounts. Consult the current membership information or support for the exact status shown in the app.
What should you check before day fourteen?
Review whether the household wants to continue and which coverage fits its members. Check the actual end date and membership state displayed in the app. Confirm that important household information remains available through your chosen arrangement.
The public evidence used here does not establish every detail of post-expiry viewing, editing or retention. Do not assume that trial records are immediately deleted, or that full access continues indefinitely. Ask HomeCo support if that distinction matters to your decision. Likewise, verify any export option directly instead of assuming a CSV download exists.
- Confirm the trial end date shown in the app.
- Choose who needs access and which home type is intended.
- Read the final local store price and renewal terms.
- Check invitation eligibility for every participating member.
- Resolve questions about expired access or existing records before relying on continued availability.
How do cancellation and refunds work after a purchase?
Paid memberships auto-renew through Apple or Google until cancelled in that store's subscription settings. Deleting a HomeCo account does not cancel the store subscription. The website says access normally continues to the end of the paid period, and refunds are handled under the store's rules and applicable law.
Use the subscription controls for the account that made the purchase and check the displayed renewal status. If you need help with an unexpected charge or refund, follow the relevant store's official support process and HomeCo's current support information. This article describes the published membership rules, not a promise of an individual refund outcome.
